Work, partner and friend.

Hao, Shannon, Christian and I started our careers together in the same Moss Adams start class in 1997. From there, we paved the way of our careers together from entry level staff to founding partners at RKE. Knowing each other for half of our lives, we grew in our careers, as friends, and shared milestone moments of graduations, weddings and babies. Hao was a brilliant man with a photographic memory. I always wondered how he could quote IRS code sections off the bat. I knew not to question him, as he probably was right.

I will always have fond memories of our times together. We went snowboarding after tax season. We went to the racetrack and I picked the winning horses based on their names. We hung out on the lawn at the University of Illinois during a training seminar and our many trips to Seattle. We would just hangout at Q's after work. We got our Masters in Taxation at USC. Hao wasn't a picture taker, as you can see in some of these photos. Really, when we started our careers, it was before digital cameras were popular, cell phones were only used for making phone calls. Hao always knew how to make people laugh. Hao will always have a place in my heart. May he rest in peace.
